Yesteryear Collection - 1930 Ford Model A Tradesman Woody Wagon

The 'A&J Box' was introduced in 1983 and was the first of a series of commercial vans based upon light delivery vans. The sides of the model were altered to feature a new side panel in place of the windows. These liveries were produced concurrently with the (Y21-1) Woody Wagon and due to bonnet colours and baseplate inscription changes, several variations have been recorded.

Livery: (Tampo)
'A & J BOX' and 'GENERAL STORES' in gold on both sides of wagon panels.

Variations/Rarities: It could have either a metallic copper, dark orange, metallic orange or yellow bonnet. Yellow bonnets from the (Y21-1) run, oversprayed with copper paint gave a metallic orange finish and this variant is easily distinguishable from the pure copper type by the yellow painted bonnet rivets on the baseplate.
A small run of the 'A&J Box' had the windscreen frame hot-foil chrome plated, but because of the expense, this was abandoned.
The seats can be off white, pale brown or bright red.
It could have either 12 or 24 spoke chromed wheels.
One batch of models was produced with copper coloured axles.
The baseplates are usually brown but one variation has black baseplates. The baseplate can read "Lesney © 1981" or "Matchbox © 1981".
The red or pale brown seats are hard to find with issue 8 being the one to have.
